The launch event was held simultaneously at CNBM’s headquarters in Beijing and at JEC World in Paris, one of the world’s leading exhibitions for composite materials.

According to CNBM, SYT80 carbon fiber achieves a tensile strength exceeding 8,000 MPa and is the first T1200-grade carbon fiber product in the world to reach industrial-scale production. The development represents a major step forward in high-performance carbon fiber manufacturing and strengthens CNBM’s capabilities in advanced materials.

Zhou Yuxian, chairman of CNBM, said the company has been investing in carbon fiber research and industrialization for more than two decades. He noted that CNBM will continue to expand innovation and international cooperation in advanced materials and support the development of next-generation industries.

The product is expected to support applications in aerospace, high-end manufacturing and emerging energy sectors. Its combination of ultra-high strength and low weight makes it suitable for aircraft structures, hydrogen storage systems, advanced mobility solutions and other high-performance industrial uses.

The launch was presented through a three-site connection linking Beijing, the JEC exhibition in Paris and Zhongfu Shenying’s production base in Lianyungang, China. The Lianyungang facility is expanding capacity and is expected to become one of the world’s largest and most advanced carbon fiber production bases.

Zhongfu Shenying is a leading carbon fiber manufacturer under CNBM, focusing on the development and large-scale production of high-performance carbon fiber and related composite materials.
